An enthusiast for twenty years, Derek Hutchinson has become an international authority on sea kayaking. He has led major expeditions round the British Isles and in Alaskan waters round the Aleutian Islands. During this time, he has developed a series of kayaks of his own design, including the Umnak, the Baidarka Explorer and the Ice Floe.
