The book is, however, also an essential reference book for both the student and the experienced saddler. The easy-to-follow, step-by-step text is complemented by over 120 photographs plus diagrams.

While apprenticed to the Queen’s saddler and harness maker, Robert Steinke passed his City and Guilds exams at the Cordwainers College, London.
